A Freelance 800F system can consist of
between one and several rack based process stations or AC
800F field controllers that can be extended with I/O
units.You have the option of configuring the process
stations or the AC 800F either redundantly (CPU redundancy,
fieldbus module redundancy) or without redundancy. Modular
plug-in input/output modules in racks are used in accordance
with the type and quantity of process signals.
AC 800F opens up the flexibility of
fieldbus technology and provides access to the fieldbus of
your choice: FOUNDATION Fieldbus, PROFIBUS, or HART. You can
connect fieldbus-compliant I/O components such as remote
S800 or S900 I/O or field devices directly to the AC 800F
via fieldbus modules.
